Blackburn Rovers have been handed a big injury boost ahead of their Championship clash with newly promoted team Coventry City at the weekend with the news that Darragh Lenihancould return from injury to be a part of the game against the Sky Blues.DarraghLenihan has missed the last two Blackburn Rovers games due to a rib injury. The defender took painkillers to enable him return to Blackburn Rovers training on Friday and he is in line to return to the Blackburn Rovers squad for the league game against the Sky Blues. Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray spoke about Darragh Lenihan in his pre-match presser on Friday ahead of the Coventry City game on Saturday. According to him, Lenihan could feature against the Sky Blues.

The return of the experienced Lenihan to the Blackburn Rovers squadis a big boost for the former Premier League champions in their quest to qualify for a playoff spot at the end of the regular season in the English Championship. Blackburn Rovers have won just three of the 21 games without Lenihansince the start of the 2018/19 Championship season to highlight his importance to the former Premier League champions.Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray was not impressed with his team’s defending in the midweek loss to Watford in the league.
