Mowbray happy with signings

Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray is happy with the signing of Adam Armstrong on a four-year contract. He said that Armstrong was an influential player last season when he was on loan at the club and that he is happy that he could get him on a long-term contract.

Tony Mowbray said that he wants to build a team that can help Blackburn Rovers mount a push for promotion and he feels that the arrival of Adam Armstrong is a step in the right direction.

The player managed to score 9 goals in 21 games for Blackburn Rovers despite joining the team only in January. Tony Mowbray will be hoping that the player can replicate the same sort of form this season in order to help his team win games.

The Blackburn Rovers manager said that this is a bargain for his team to have signed this player for only £1.75m. He said that the player is a talented one and is still young and he is happy that he could have signed him for this price.

Mowbray said that the player can still develop and that he is happy that he has signed for four years with them. He said that they are older players that are moving around for much more money and that he is happy that he has been able to sign him on a bargain.

He said that the player will need to work hard to get into the team as there are currently some players that are ahead of him in the pecking order but he is confident that he will achieve this. He said that it is always good for a team to have competition for places and that he feels that Adam Armstrong will be a success this season with the team.
